12 weeks from September 26^th 2008

Join Anne Harris, an experienced qualified English Bridge Union teacher, for a beginners course to introduce you to this enjoyable and stimulating card game.

 Sept 26^th to Oct 17^th 

MiniBridge              

 Suitable for those who have no previous experience of Bridge. Learn the principles of the game and practise playing as declarer and in defence without the complication of bidding.                                                                                 

Oct 24^th to Dec 12^th

Beginning Bridge

This next block introduces the principles of bidding using the Standard English Acol system with the emphasis on learning through a structured playing programme.

Those with previous limited experience of the game are welcome to join the class at this stage.

£70 for the 12 week course (this includes the EBU workbook and notes (cost £20) and a year’s membership of EBU) 

Cost for those attending one block only:

MiniBridge                               £20 for the 4 week course

Beginning Bridge                       £60 for the 8 week course (including EBU workbook etc.)

The course will continue in the New Year and will cover competitive bidding, defence, strong hands and conventional bids and may be of interest to more experienced players.
